Large walnut jewelry box with redheart, holly and ebony inlays. The primary wood is American Black Walnut. The inlay bandings are redheart (AKA Chakte Kok), which is grown mostly in Brazil. The stringing on the 4 posts is holly. The wider (1/8") black stringing on the top is African Ebony as well as the black edges. The ebony on the edges serve to protect as well as accent. This results is a silky-smooth durable finish not acheievaable with a brushed or sprayed finish. All parts are French polished before assembly allowing for a flawless finish. The fourteen knobs are solid brass. This box will stand the test of time. The joints are solid and will not separate over time. Guaranteed not to warp or twist. A solid box! Overall dimensions are 21" high, 15" wide and 11" deep. All 7 drawers are the same size. Inside measurements are 9-1/4 X 7-1/2 X 2-1/8" deep.
