This is a solid African sapele box with Gabon ebony inlays, and a hand-made maple/ebony/holly fan inlayed in the center of the top.
All hand made (including the inlays). All woods are natural with no stain or dye coloring.
Sapele is a commonly imported wood species both in lumber and veneer form.
It is sometimes used as a substitute for Genuine Mahogany, and is sometimes
referred to as Sapele Mahogany, though it bears no real relation to mahogany.
Flawlessly sealed and finished with several coats of polyurethane. The finish on this box is ultra-smooth and flawless!
The hardware is brass, and the inside is lined with genuine Spanish cedar to keep your stogies fresh!
The box is constructed as a solid unit; the top then cut from the bottom, ensuring an exact fit as well as keeping the wood grain matching on the outside.
The inside Spanish cedar liner extends from the bottom, to the inside of the top when closed, for an air-tight fit.
This is a strong box with tight and flawless joinery, designed to last a lifetime.
Approximate outside dimensions: 14" X 12" X 4"
Inside dimensions: 11-1/4" X 9-3/8" X 3" deep.
The hygrometer is included.
