The joinery is tight everywhere - you will find no gaps in any of the joints on any of my boxes!
And the fit of the top to the bottom is perfect - almost unnoticeable when the box is closed.
Notice the flawless holly inlay stringing. The stringing is cut to a no-gap tolerance and tightly inserted, and permanently glued, into a 1/16" routed channel.
Then sanded flush with the walnut. You will not feel any ridges or spaces where the holly meets the walnut!
The ring separators may be removed, if desired.
