1/16" Black Stringing. Exactly 1/16" wide and made from black dyed pear wood.
I had previously been making this from Gaboon ebony, but it was too fragile
and inconsistant. I am now making it from black dyed pear; a straight
grained wood, and is actually blacker than ebony.
This has another advantage over ebony, in that it is much more
flexible and can be easily dry-bent around a radius of about 8".
If bent on a heated pipe or hot soldering iron, it will bend to a much tighter radius.
Stringing inlayed using a small router.
